Nicht ein einziges Wort glaube ich, bis ich im Laden war, das Album gekauft habe, zuhause auflege und Musik aus den Boxen kommt.

Was ist das eigentlich für eine Deppenband, wenn die so lange für ein Album brauchen. Dazu kommen noch diese
völlig sinnlosen Neuigkeiten, Songs sind endlich fertig, Texte auch bald und das Studio ist auch schon gebucht.

Who’s ready for some major breaking news? Brace yourself; get ready… okay, here we go. We are very excited to announce what is sure to be welcome news for both fans of TOOL and prog-metal enthusiasts in general. After all the years of writing and arranging (and re-arranging) at the band’s loft, I can at this time officially report that the guys have moved into a major studio where the recording process for the next album is about to begin in earnest. For the past few days the band members have been getting sonically adjusted to their new surroundings - dialing in the equipment settings and restaurant catering choices - in preparation for Danny to begin his tracking any time now – perhaps by the time that you read this!
I am also excited to announce that ‘evil’ JOE BARRESI will once again have his capable fingers at the engineering controls for what will certainly be another masterful TOOL offering by the talented team. Pinch yourself if you want, but I have been told that all systems are GO at this point for the upcoming sessions.
I will be posting periodic bits and pieces on the progress of the tracking once the guys get deeper into the recording process, and hope that all of you will keep checking back to the official website for these updates. In the meantime, be sure to also visit the individual band members’ sites and socials (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) for more inside glimpses as TOOL prepares for the next stage in their musical odyssey.

Sie haben gerade auf Facebook gepostet, dass die Drums im Kasten sind.
Angesichts des plötzlichen Tempos (die Songs waren alle fertig, als sie im März ins Studio zur Aufnahme schritten) kann man wohl tatsächlich noch in diesem Jahr mit einem Release rechnen.

Sie führen gerade einige Band Clinics durch, wo sie vor einem jeweils kleinen Publikum Songs spielen und Einblicke ins Bandgeschehen geben. Geschichten, Anekdoten, etc.
Dabei haben sie verlauten lassen, dass es auf dem neuen Album keinen Song unter 10 Minuten geben wird.

Aaargh!
Was, wenn man plötzlich die Möglichkeit hat, einen neuen Tool Song zu hören???
Das macht mich gerade so was von nervös, aber wenn der geil ist, bleibt es nicht bei einmal hören... Und das wiederum würde mich ärgern. Spätestens wenn das komplette Album raus ist.
Ich bin nicht diszipliniert genug, um mich da alleine zurück halten zu können... Hilfe
...vielleicht nur einmal kurz anspielen?

Falls du jetzt "Descending" meinst, den spielen die ja schon länger live, ist nur ein Instrumental und auch eher work in progress.

Jaaa... Schon... Jetzt sagt mir aber Youtube "guck ma... New Song Descending 2018 - Final Performance".
Ich bin bis jetzt echt standhaft geblieben...

Naja, das ist halt eine schreckliche Handyaufnahme, das wird nicht repräsentativ sein und auch so nicht auf dem Album landen. Das Ding ist ja nur als ne Art Teaser aus nem Jam entstanden. Ein Song ist das nicht.

Laut Adam wird das neue Album auf Spotify und Co. zu hören sein, wie auch alle anderen Alben. Hat bisher nur nicht geklappt wegen Tantiemen-Gefaddel mit der alten Plattenfirma.

I've carried a sense of deep shame from this assault for many years. I thought it was my fault. How could I let him do this to me? But he was 36. I was 17. He knew exactly what he was getting away with. What could I have done differently? My body was paralyzed.
Ist schon ein paar Tage alt, wurde aber glaube ich noch nirgends drüber berichtet. Bei so einem anonymen Twitter-Account muss man natürlich auch vorsichtig sein, mal sehen, was bei der Story rauskommt.
