1. SVALBARD (HC - UK): 2016 waren die Engländer das letzte mal bei uns - 2018 diesmal mit neuer LP im Gepäck. Keiner kann HC, Mega-Melodien, blast beats, Black Metal, Post Rock und Punk so gut miteinander verknüpfen wie SVALBARD! SVALBARD is one of those few bands that have the ability to compare many different styles and whatever comes out, it sounds good beyond words. They mix HC, black metal, blast beats, mega-catchy melodies, post rock and punk in such a great way like no other band. Their 2015 full length “One Day All This Will End” is a masterpiece and simply a modern classic. 2. GOLD (Dark Rock - The Netherlands): Düstere, atmosphärische und hart nach vorne gehende Rockmusik die vom Post Punk und THE CURE beeinflusst ist - irgendwo dazwischen stecken GOLD aus Rotterdam. Die Niederländer haben eine absolute Ausnahmesängerin in ihren Reihen und sind live die Präzision schlechthin. Dark rock music, heavy as hell, with influences which range from post punk to the melancholy of THE CURE. That’s the way we would describe GOLD from Rotterdam. 3. TELEPATHY (Post Metal - UK): Die Engländer von TELEPATHY spannen den Bogen weit auf, zwischen Sludge, Doom, Post Rock und Black Metal. Was dabei heraus kommt, ist eine zeitlose und fast ausschließlich instrumentale Mischung die irgendwo zwischen Bands wie RUSSIAN CIRCLES und ARKTIKA steht. Erstklassiger Post Metal - wuchtig, riff-orientiert, dennoch atmosphärisch und zugleich immer voll auf die Zwölf. Post Metal which stands between genres like sludge, doom, post rock and even black metal. That's what you can expect from UK's TELEPATHY. Their almost exclusively instrumental music is atmospheric but also riff-oriented and damn powerful at all times. 4. THE TIDAL SLEEP (HC - D): In einem review meinte mal jemand, dass THE TIDAL SLEEP den Hang zur Dramatik nie ablegen “können, sollen und werden”. Da stimmen wir zu. ‘Post Everything’, wie die Band selbst sagt, passt schon - THE TIDAL SLEEP vermischen HC, 80er DISCHORD Klänge, Punk und Screamo zu einem Gebräu, dass allen extrem energiereichen HC Bands des Planeten locker das Wasser reichen kann. Energy and dramatic moments - we guess this sums THE TIDAL SLEEP’s music up. A perfect blend of HC, emo/screamo, punk, post rock and influences from some of the 80′s DISCHORD bands. 5. MYTERI (Crust - SWE): Perfektes Futter für alle Krustenfreax bieten MYTERI aus Göteborg. Gerade TRAGEDY und ICTUS Fans dürften das 2015-Erstlingswerk lieben, bietet es doch mitreißenden Melodic Crust wie er besser kaum sein kann. MYTERI is a Swedish melodic crust band from Gothenburg. Heavy, stirring crust music, which has a feel for epic and melancholy moments. Perfect stuff for folks who are into TRAGEDY or ICTUS. https://myteriswe.bandcamp.com/

6. MAGMA WAVES (Post Rock - D): MAGMA WAVES stammen so wie ihre Kollegen von KOKOMO aus Duisburg, personelle wie musikalische Überschneidungen gibt es ebenfalls. Die Musik der vierköpfigen Band ist komplett instrumental und wechselt von ruhigen zu episch-monumentalen Momenten. Am ehesten vergleichbar mit den frühen KOKOMO oder COLARIS ... und genauso gut. MAGMA WAVES shares a member with KOKOMO and they are also from the same city, Duisburg. What you get is classic, monumental post rock without any vocals. 7. RESPIRE (Screamo-HC - Canada): Seit Ihrer 2017 Euro-Tour lieben wir RESPIRE. 2018 kommen sie deswegen wieder zurück. Musikalisch gibt es eine Mischung aus Screamo, Post-HC/Rock und Black Metal Elementen, die oft experimentell aber immer positiv und extrem mitreißend klingt. The Canadian screamo-punx from RESPIRE joined our festival in 2017 and because of the fact that we love ‘em, they made the decision to come back in 2018. Imagine an experimental but totally catchy sounding mixture of screamo, post-HC/rock and even black metal music, with a damn positive vibe. https://respirefamily.bandcamp.com/

8. FREDAG DE 13:E (Crust - SWE): FREDAG DE 13:E haben mal vor etlichen Jahren in der Meierei gespielt und dabei die halbe Bühne abgerissen. Klassischer Skandicrust mit Melodien und hart viel Rock ‘n’ Roll wird von der Band aus Göteborg groß geschrieben, aber auch MOTÖRHEAD oder POISON IDEA lassen grüßen! Gothenburg’s FREDAG DE 13:E combine the best elements of classic scandinavian crust/D-beat with influences of rock ‘n’ roll, MOTÖRHEAD and early POISON IDEA.
